Newton Hall: Amy and Gordon’s Romantic and Fantastical Happy Ever After

DATE

Situated in the heart of Northumberland, this unique and luxurious wedding venue, Newton Hall, promised Amy and Gordon the wedding day of their dreams.

The couple first met online, before Amy made the big commitment to move up North to continue their relationship.

Surrounded by their family and friends, the couple said ‘I do’ in the stunning outdoor setting, with picturesque meadow views and enchanting backdrop.

The Venue:

‘Your day will be all wrapped up in a big bundle of fun!’

Boasting a cool and quirky atmosphere, this gorgeous Georgian country house prides itself on offering an exceptional wedding experience.

The gold table décor and pink blossom trees added a touch of class and beauty, while the blush pink tiebacks and hanging chandeliers created elegance like no other.

Amy said: “We fell in love with Newton Hall as soon as we saw it, there was no compromise – it ended up being the first and last venue we went to see.

Newton Hall has fantastic outdoor ceremony options but the indoor options are just as beautiful. We knew we wanted our dog, Teddy, there to be a part of our special day and Newton Hall was completely dog friendly! We would 100 per cent recommend Newton Hall to other couples.”

The Dress:

“I was very nervous about dress shopping and with Gordon being in the military, I often get the chance to wear long dresses, so I was worried I wasn’t going to find anything different or special enough.

As my mum lives over 300 miles away, we made the most of our time together when she was visiting. The first appointment we went to was at The Wedding Dress Company and it was the most amazing experience. At first, I wasn’t getting the emotional feelings people talk about but then it happened! I was so overcome with emotion I couldn’t speak. It was meant to be,” Amy reflected.

The bride was left speechless by this stunning Stella York gown, with bardot-style sleeves, decorated in a delicate lace.

This gorgeous dress was made complete with Amy’s floor length veil and beautiful embellished tiara.

The Bride’s Advice:

“Just do you! Don’t worry about trying to please everyone, or anyone for that matter! Make sure you make the day what you want it to be, have fun and enjoy it!

Try and take a few minutes out of the day together and take it all in as it flies by.”
