Romance bloomed between Robert and Rachael when they first met at a pub quiz more than nine years ago. Robert then popped the question in 2015 while walking in Newmillerdam. Fast-forward to 2017 and the couple tied the knot in the picture-perfect setting of Bagden Hall.

“Our overall plan for the wedding was for family and friends to get together and for everyone to feel relaxed and enjoy themselves, and to let their hair down in the evening. Even nearly a year later everyone still talks about how much fun the day was.”

“We chose the venue for the beautiful grounds; it has been recommended by so many people we just had to look around. The wedding ran perfectly and the master of ceremonies, Barry, and the other staff were always there when we needed them, however, were very discreet and professional so the guests weren't aware. They couldn't do enough for us.”

How did you choose your photographer?
“Two months after we got engaged, we saw Andy at our friend’s wedding when Rob was best man. We saw how friendly, relaxed and professional he was and knew we wanted him to be our photographer straight away. When we saw a snapshot of the photos he had taken and how he captured the day perfectly, our decision was made. As we knew what date we wanted, we booked him before we chose the venue. Since this time, he has/will be photographer at five of our friend’s weddings. He has become our good luck charm. We absolutely love our photos and would recommend him to everyone.”

Advice to future brides and grooms-to-be?
“Enjoy the planning and make that part of your wedding, as the day goes by so quickly. On the day, just take a moment here and there to take in the atmosphere and look at others enjoying themselves, as those memories last a lifetime.”

What was your highlight?
“I don't think we could pick a best moment of the day because we honestly loved every minute; getting ready with our bridesmaids and groomsmen, the vows, my sister’s reading and my bridesmaid creating a personalised poem for the other reading, the reception and the evening do!”
