“Walking down the aisle, I didn’t notice anyone else in the room but Daniel, it was amazing.”

Settled amongst 37 acres of woodland and lavender fields, Black Horse Beamish stole the couple’s hearts and offered Andrea and Daniel the wedding of their dreams.

Andrea and Daniel’s relationship began when they were just 15 years old. Andrea said: “We went all the way through secondary school together and have been together ever since!”

The couple were young and in love and knew they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together.

Their dream was always to have a low-key wedding celebration with a rustic twist, surrounded by family and close friends.

THE VENUE:

This stunning luxury boutique hotel is nestled amongst the Red Row Estate, high above the Beamish conversation valley. Andrea and Daniel were taken back at the beautiful views and felt so lucky they were able to get married there.

Black Horse Beamish promised the perfect venue where the couple could put their own stamp on it, making it unique to them.

The stone walls, high wooden beams and rustic chairs with blush tiebacks, created a cosy and intimate feeling. Ivory leaves hung from the ceiling above while white fairy lights draped the walls and scattered petals bordered the aisle.

Andrea and Dan were looking for a rural, rustic and quirky wedding venue and Black Horse Beamish offered nothing less.

Andrea reflected, “We had visited many beautiful venues but, to us, they had nothing on The Black Horse. We were sold on the very first visit.”

THE DRESS:

Andrea said: “I had a really lovely experience at Just Perfect and the ladies made me feel so comfortable.

When they closed down, I decided to take my dress to Alice Elizabeth Couture in Coxhoe. I could not give them enough praise. I was in for fittings as often as I wanted and nothing was ever too much. They were amazing.”

Andrea stood in a gorgeous, v-neck, Essence of Australia mermaid-style dress, covered in a delicate late. This fit-and-flare design was complemented with a long sleeved lace jacket, adding a classic elegance to the bride’s image.

THE BRIDE’S ADVICE:

“Try not to let other people have a say in your wedding day, it’s your day so have it your way!

Take time out on the day to sit with your closest friends and family and, of course, your husband to take it all in.

You only do it once, so make sure you get the very best out of it.”
