After losing touch with each other, this modern-day love story was reignited through a match on Tinder. Add a first date which left them inseparable, a moonlit proposal under the stars, and a Blackwell Grange wedding dedicated to the ‘feel-good factor’…and the rest is history!

The Venue
 

For Sophie and Kelvyn, laughter was the main ingredient for their special day.

 

“I wanted something for all the guests to get involved in and to make people laugh.” – Sophie
 After only visiting one wedding fair, at Blackwell Grange, the couple booked their wedding there. The light spacious room meant there was plenty of space for everybody to enjoy the day, and the statement staircase with tartan carpet runners, underneath glorious chandeliers, made for the backdrop of the couple’s dreams.

 
Recent photographs taken of the venue’s refurbishment by photographer Claire Hirst Photography not only sealed the deal for the couple’s wedding setting, but also helped them decide on the perfect person to capture their day.
 

The Dress
 

At the end of an unsuccessful day of dress shopping Sophie called into Happily Ever After. Although she was already feeling deflated and didn’t know if or when she would find the dress for her, she decided to try some on.

After trying on countless other dresses. The one and only dress the bride-to-be picked up in Happily Ever After was the delicately beaded-lace gown from Nicola Anne. The original design (called Blenheim) was customised to compliment Sophie’s style.
 

The Bride’s Advice
 

“I only had myself to get ready in the week leading up to the wedding…” – Sophie

 

An organised bride, Sophie’s advice to any brides and grooms-to-be is to start planning as early as possible. Between the couple’s early planning and Sophie’s dad helping make so everything ran smoothly, both she and Kelvyn were able to relax and enjoy their day.
