Petra and Paul celebrated their wedding day against the snowy backdrop of Bowburn Hall. Friends and family gathered to see the couple, who had originally fell in love over laptops, tie the knot on the 30th December 2017.

 

“Not having large families, ourselves we wanted it to be a special day with our friends and all the children and families there that I look after in my job as a child-minder. These are the people who we share our lives with every day and mean the world to us.”

A black colour scheme softened by warm fairy lights and neutral bouquets gave the couple the intimate feel they had hoped for.

“We fell in love with Bowburn as soon as we saw it. It is so much more cosy and personal than other bigger venues.”

“Charlie the manager and all his team made our day so special we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day.”

Advice for other brides and grooms?

“Enjoy every minute and don’t get caught up with things that could or seem to be going wrong; it all works out on the day. As long as you’re both there that’s all that matters in the end.”

What was your highlight of the day?

“Marrying the love of my life, my soulmate.”
