After watching countless couples start their happily ever after at the illustrious Charlton Hall, owner Richard and his bride Sophie finally said their own vows at the truly unique Charlton Hall in their own wedding weekender.
From friendship, to young love, and a proposal in Dubai… Sophie and Richard would laugh together for hours as kids before eventually falling head over heels for each other as adults.
In a proposal straight out of a fairy-tale, Richard whisked Sophie away on a private yacht in Dubai and got down on one knee in the middle of the couple’s own, gently swaying paradise.
‘I still get goosebumps thinking about it! It was truly magical.’ – Sophie
Teamwork Makes the Dream Work
As both the bride and the groom work in weddings themselves, the couple truly immersed themselves in creating a wedding which incorporated not only their personalities, but the unique, out-of-the-box charm associated with the luxurious interiors and quirks of this enchanted space.
From visiting Belle Bridal wedding fairs, and being the proprietor of Charlton Hall, of course the groom was heavily involved in the preparations for the big day – just what we like to see!
Something a little Different
Anybody who has visited Charlton Hall already knows that there is something new and breath-taking at every turn, so Richard and Sophie opted for an understated, yet classic theme of white with gold accents to further elevate the experience of each of the eclectically decorated rooms.
The bride wasn’t the only one to receive a grand entrance. After she walked the aisle in her a-line gown, with intricately beaded sleeves and a glittering waistband, the entire bridal party had their turn.
In an unforgettable moment for every guest, each member of the #bridetribe had their own individual entrance into the Looking Glass for dinner – accompanied by their own theme song. These special additions to the proceedings were combined with indoor pyrotechnics for the kind of remarkable affair synonymous with a wedding at Charlton Hall.
And Then There Were Fireworks
This wedding weekender didn’t end after the ceremony, the next day the newlyweds threw a huge, festival-themed after-party. In-between live music from the likes of The Red Hot Chilli Pipers, Bride & Groove and Aurora Strings – to name a few – spectacular fireworks rained down over the the celebrations… a dreamy beginning to the pairs lives together.
