Doxford Barns: Lynsey And William's Beautiful Barn Bash
We love a beautiful barn wedding - they’re rustic, they’re cool and they’re completely stylish. Today, we’re sharing with you the gorgeous celebration of Lynsey and William, who tied the knot at the award-winning Doxford Barns. Captured by the talented, Michael Southwick, this laid-back affair was exactly what the couple had always dreamt of.

Lynsey said: “We fell in love with the venue as soon as we stepped inside it! We did a lot of research online and knew we wanted a barn-type venue. It is so beautiful without the need to add a lot of decorations and the thought of being on a farm while having a spring wedding was so exciting.
“We would definitely recommend Doxford Barns to future brides and grooms. The staff are so friendly and go out of their way to make your day as smooth and special as possible. They took very good care of us.”

Lynsey and William wanted to host a celebration where everyone could relax and have fun, and you can tell from these stunning images that they succeed. “We wanted something really relaxed and easy going. We always planned to have a big wedding due to Lynsey being part of a big family, but overall we wanted every one of all ages to enjoy themselves,” said William.

The couple choose Michael Southwick to capture their whole celebration. “We met with several photographers, the first of which was Michael. He gave us really good advice about how to pick a photographer as we were honest about him being the first one we had met. However, his good advice along with his amazing photo books were why we picked Michael Southwick. We loved how creative he was with his photos, as well as his understanding of exactly what we wanted from our day.”

Advice for other brides and grooms?
“Don’t worry about anything! What will be will be, you just have to remind yourself to relax and enjoy your day as it flies over far too quickly!”

What was your highlight of the day?
“The highlight of our day was the staff offering to let our three and 13 year old daughters meet a one day old lamb, which they loved.”
