Super cool and laidback, Doxford Barns was the only option for wedding stylist Laura and Christopher’s relaxed bohemian wedding celebration.

Their ‘against the grain’ approach to weddings flourished at this unique venue – the only one they visited before booking.

The Goosebumps Factor:

As they stepped into the flagship ceremony space at Doxford Barns, the Threshing Hall’s striking character and exposed flagstone floor gave the pair goosebumps - they couldn’t imagine another setting for their wedding. 

Not only was Doxford Barns a stunning backdrop for the couple’s festivities but also the selection of on-site cottages meant that the entire family could extend the wedding celebrations at this exclusive-use nuptial getaway.

The simple grandeur of the barn provided Laura and Christopher with a light, open space to carry out their dream day and the easy going atmosphere of the entire venue allowed Laura to not only create the wedding she had always wanted but it ignited her passion for wedding planning and allowed her to turn it into her career.

Festival Feels:

Incredible cuisine prepared by the head chef and his culinary team provided a taste sensation for the entire wedding party.

Delicious dishes were served under a canopy of glistening fairy lights coating the oak-beamed ceilings of the beautiful barn and tables were lovingly decorated in macramé and Himalayan salt-themed embellishments.

A palette of pinks, creams and golds brought the pretty and dried flowers decorated the top table and bridesmaids’ crowns bringing a festival vibe to proceedings.

Unique and Chic:

From the word ‘Go’ Laura knew that she didn’t want a traditional wedding gown.

After a long search and a lot of searching for inspiration on Instagram, she had found a free-spirited, Rue De Seine tasselled gown, perfect for her individualist style.

The bride looked a vision as she and Christopher said their “I do’s” in front of the grand, candlelit fireplace within the carved stone walls of the Threshing Hall.
