Sophie and Dan first met when working alongside each other at Langley Castle.
Although, over the years the couple had to spend a lot of time apart due to deployments and postings all over the country, this only made their love for each other grow – after all… absence does make the heart grow fonder.

 
They always knew they would spend the rest of their lives together and after buying their first home and having their beautiful baby boy, it was time to tie the knot!
 

Dan proposed to Sophie with a bespoke engagement ring he had made in London while away in London with work, and proposed only a few weeks before the big day at Ellingham Hall.
 

 
 
The Venue:
 

Wanting to extend the celebrations for as long as possible, Sophie and Dan’s biggest must-have was a venue big enough for the whole wedding party to stay for an entire wedding weekender.

 
“Having the venue to ourselves for the weekend provided everything we wanted for our wedding day.” – Sophie

 
The couple couldn’t speak higher of both Ellingham Hall and its staff. From the moment they walked up the driveway and through the exquisite grounds, they knew that it would be the setting for their special day.
 
 

The Dress:
 

“I knew exactly what I was looking for - long sleeves, lace and fitted.” – Sophie

Although there was never any doubt in Sophie’s mind about what kind of gown she wanted, the boutique assistants at The Wedding Dress Company, as well as her mum and two sisters, provided a much appreciated helping hand when it came to making her dream wedding gown a reality; and she walked the aisle in a La Sposa gown which embodied all of her dress desires.
 

 

The Bride’s Words:

 
“Be true to yourselves in what you want from your day and do what is realistic for you. The little things that you may find stressful on the run up wont go through your mind on the day so enjoy the whole process and everything will fall into place.” – Sophie
