Ellingham Hall: Vicki and Jonny’s subtle beach style wedding
August 4, 2018 - the day Vicki and Jonny said their vows surrounded by family and friends. 17thcentury English country house, Ellingham Hall, stole their hearts, as Vicki said, “it was everything we were looking for and more!”
The couple chose to go with a subtle beach theme for their special day, after Jonny went down on one knee at Longsands beach, Tynemouth, the previous year in May.
THE VENUE:
Vicki said, “Jonny and I knew we wanted to get married in Northumberland. As soon as we walked into the Chapel room of Ellingham Hall, we knew instantly that this was where we wanted to get married.”

White petals scattered the aisle while the subtle flowers, in shades of pink, complemented the bridesmaid’s dresses and added a pop of colour to their traditional style room.

Jars filled with sand and shells decorated the tables and a message in a bottle fridge magnet was given to all guests as favours.
The roaming peacocks and horse and carriage added an extra sense of 'wow' to Vicki and Jonny's special wedding day.

THE DRESS:
“I couldn’t wait to start trying on dresses and within the first day of searching, I found my dream dress at Accent,” Vicki said.

Vicki stepped out in a stunning sleeveless, sweetheart neckline, Q’nique dress with embellished bodice and a-line skirt. The dress she fell in loved with showed nothing less than elegance, class and beauty.

“I tried on many different styles and ended up choosing a dress that was completely different to what I was looking for!”
Vicki went on to say, “I also got to meet the designer of the dress who had came all the way from Australia. I felt so honoured to have her opinion and design ideas to make my dress completely bespoke – I was the first bride in Europe to have ever worn that design!
This just added to the magical experience of the day.”

BRIDE’S ADVICE:
“The entire experience of planning our wedding was a complete joy and I put that down to the fact that we had kept on top of everything from day one. Make folders for everything and it will all fall into place.
I had no idea just how quickly it would go, so make sure you take a minute every now and then to stand back and take it all in.” Vicky said.
