Nysha and Jon hosted a stylish and sophisticated day in beautiful setting of Falcon Manor. They tied the knot at St Stephen's Church before gathering with friends and family at the contemporary country house hotel. "We wanted a wedding that all our guests enjoyed. We thought carefully about the food and upgraded the wines, as we're both foodies and wanted to share that love of food and wine with our guests. Our focus was to have a day that represented how much we loved each other and acknowledged the support of our friends and family in helping us to realise our dream wedding."

"We searched a huge number of venues, having looked at Yorkshire, Ireland and Italy as possible locations. We wanted an intimate wedding with onsite or nearby accommodation. It was important to us that the food quality was high and that the place was ours. We ideally wanted exclusive use. Falcon Manor was the place that ticked all those boxes. I've worked in hotels for 12 years, so am not the easiest to please. We found them attentive and friendly. We had lunch before we booked and loved their food. All these aspects, along with a non 'conference room' location for the wedding breakfast made it a perfect choice for our budget. I would definitely recommend the venue, all our guests commented on the amazing food and great location."

"The highlight of the wedding for me was seeing Jon's tear filled eyes as I walked towards him in the church and finally being able to hold his hand and sneak in a quick hug. For Jon, his highlight was our first dance, which we'd spent months rehearsing and although I tripped on a step, it went almost perfectly."

"We had the most difficult time choosing a photographer as our budget was limited and there are so many photographers of different abilities. My father kindly offered to pay, allowing us to choose a more skilled photographer. We looked at 100s of photographers websites but found that most of them were too staged. The minute we saw Avenue White's photos, on their page, we loved the natural style and how they captured the emotion of the day."

Advice for other brides and grooms?
"For the bride, no one told me to hold my bouquet low as I walked with it. It feels unnatural but, I promise, your pictures will look much better. I would also trust someone with a list of things you'd like, whether it's specific photos or activities during the day, ask that person to make sure it happens - because I promise on the day, you won't remember. Lastly, I'd try not to panic about the timing. I spent a lot of my wedding worrying about keeping to schedule, and it meant I didn't really relax until the first dance was done and I didn't stop to do things I'd planned to do because I thought there wasn't enough time."
