REAL WEDDING

Living la Dolce Vita...

Now, when we look at a real wedding and the glorious images that are left to tell the story forever, it fills us with glee. Happy faces, dancing, romancing, all the love.

But this one blew all of that out of the water – a monumental celebration of Italian-esque exuberance at the iconic estate of Wynyard Hall, where the guests were gorgeous and the vibes were immaculate. It’s what all of our wildest classical wedding dreams needed and its fuelling our inspiration for grand extravaganzas going into the winter months.

Far Flung Romance

Francesca and Sam first met at school before Francesca left at 16 to pursue a career in ballet in London, but their paths crossed again six years ago when she returned home to visit. The couple managed to enjoy a long distance romance with fleeting dates across the country, before Sam made the move to the big smoke a year later.

Moving like the clear romantic he is, Sam very sneakily got Franscesca’s agent to arrange a dance job in Santorini. Fran thought she was going to perform at a lavish wedding, but when she arrived at the hotel, Sam was there on one knee. That’s how to do it, grooms…

The Wynyard Way

While they considered tying the knot in Italy, home was always going to be the wedding location for this couple who grew up and first locked eyes in the cosy climbs of the North East. Looking for a grand venue resplendent in stature and style, Wynyard Hall was the obvious choice.

I KNEW I WANTED AN AMAZING LOCATION WITH OUTSIDE SPACE, BEAUTIFUL VIEWS AND CLOSE PROXIMITY TO A CHURCH/CHAPEL. WYNYARD TICKED EVERY BOX.

FRANCESCA, THE BRIDE

Taking over the whole estate – one of the major pulls of Wynyard as an exclusive use venue – Fran and Sam’s dream day came to life.

The Venetian-inspired onsite chapel is an emotive and captivating space where this duo dedicated the rest of their lives to one another in sublime surroundings – with huge, palatial Rennaisance architecture, original marble walls and floors, traditional peels and all the feels. This was a marriage moment worth savouring, and the image is one of Francesca’s favourite of the day.

If her aisle walk didn’t already have the guests in tears (including groom Sam), a surprise live performance of Eva Cassidy’s ‘Songbird’ arranged by Francesca’s mum brought the house down and sent the lips wobbling.

BRUNETTE BEAUTY:

Francesca channelled shades of Middleton with her flowing locks and flawless makeup, while her custom Riki Dalal dress with cap sleeves was a figure of Dolce Vita perfection. Contemporary flair and refined elegance in equal measure. She finished off the look with a beautiful pair of Jimmy Choo heels.

Party Palace

And then the party began. Following a cliche confetti throw and quite dreamy photos around Wynyard’s tranquil lake and grounds, the couple gathered guests in the opulent ballroom inlaid with florentine fireplaces, huge ceilings, chandeliers and a ravishing regal feel. It was the perfect setting for a decadent reception like no other.

With the fizz flowing and after delectable dining, there was a gladiator-style fight from Francesca’s bridesmaids for the bouquet throw – with her friend Rosanna taking quite a tumble in her efforts to catch it!

Their first dance was anything but orthodox – with the emotional ceremony already done, the couple opted to add a little spice and jig to their first dance, choosing ‘Sexual’ by NEIKED, dyo – an upbeat party starter that sparked a mass dance and outpouring of love on the dance floor.

Honeymoon Heaven

The lifting of travel restrictions meant the newlyweds could enjoy their dream honeymoon – visiting the islands of the French Polynesia and Moorea, Tahiti before heading to Bora Bora for 10 days of utter bliss.
