All Saints Scaleby Church: Georgina and Mike’s Classic and Traditional Wedding Celebration

DATE

“Walking down the aisle to Mike was the most magical moment of my life.”

Their love story began after meeting through a mutual friend, when they ‘accidentally’ bumped into each other one night in town. They began talking and went on their very first date the following week and have never spent a day apart since!

The couple fell in love and began planning the biggest day of their lives together…

The biggest must-have for Georgina and Mike’s wedding day was to have lots of food for their guests to enjoy - with thanks to Bakerwood, both the bride and groom were in food heaven with the delicious canapés and Mediterranean platters served all day.

Traditional I Do's:

Georgina and Mike tied the knot at All Saints Scaleby Church, before continuing the celebrations, in a beautiful marquee, back at Georgina’s parents house.

Georgina - “It was perfect. All Saints Scaleby Church was my family home! It was the most amazing place to grow up - it’s truly magical.”

The couple had always dreamt of having a classic and simple wedding with hints of rich golden colours running throughout, alongside traditional white and splashes of green. Dramatic flower arrangements stood proud as centrepieces while twinkling fairy lights draped the ceiling above.

Pronovias Pretty:

After thinking she’d found the dress of her dreams in Newcastle, Georgina went along to an appointment she had already booked in Hyde. She walked into the shop and one particular dress immediately caught her eye.

“I picked it up, tried it on and there were happy tears. I instantly knew this was my dress - it was everything I’d ever dreamed of.” - Georgina

Sleek and sophisticated - Georgina walked the commanding church aisle in a stunning fitted Pronovias gown. The lace detailing and low-cut back added grace, elegance and charm to their wedding day.

The Bride’s Advice:

“Enjoy every single moment of the preparation and every second of the day! Do not stress about anything, because whatever happens you are marrying the love of your life. I was very relaxed leading up to the wedding and on the day itself, I really did savour every moment. I’d love to do it all again.”
