Dorothy and Paul chose to have their wedding abroad in sunny Gibraltar.
With a little help from her auntie in Gibraltar, Dorothy managed to plan a picturesque destination wedding.
Flowers for the day were by The Flower Shop in Gibraltar, “My posy had the three pinks of the girl’s bridesmaid dresses and the girls had three roses each, of each different colour.”
“The theme of the wedding was pink of all shades, but we mainly focused on the pink colours of the bridesmaid’s dresses. I made all of the girls’ jewellery with a lady I work with in our lunch breaks – she makes fabulous bespoke Swarovski crystal jewellery!”
The couple were married at The Cathedral of Holy Trinity.
A quick boat ride to the reception at Bruno’s restaurant.
We love Dorothy’s quirky choice of cakes at the wedding reception. She says “We used the cupcakes on the tower as favours for guests to take home and the flavoured cupcakes (banoffee, lemon meringue, strawberry cheesecake, apple pie and custard, carrot cake and white chocolate with raspberry) were used for dessert after the meal.”
“We had welcome baskets for quests when the arrived at the hotel with pink-themed favours (even pink flip-flops!) and an information pack about Gibraltar.”
