Jesmond Dene House: Rebecca And Steven's New Year Celebration
For Steven and Rebecca, December has always been a special time of year. Not only did they first meet one another the day before Christmas Eve while on a night out in Newcastle, but also the couple tied the knot at Jesmond Dene House on December 31st 2017. It seems the couple wanted to start the New Year together as husband and wife, and the only place they had their eyes on was the stunning setting of Jesmond Dene House.

“Jesmond Dene House has always been a place we have been as a family for special events. Its warm wood and real fires made it perfect for a NYE wedding.
“I knew I wanted black tie and for the wedding to be glamorous. I wanted it to reflect the beautiful wood paneling of the venue with white roses and eucalyptus. We wanted a party atmosphere and everyone to have fun!”

Rebecca and Steven chose Michael Cartwright to capture their special day. “Our sister-in- law’s brother and wife used Michael last year and we were stunned by how beautiful the photos were. Once we met Michael, we loved his laid-back style and great sense of humour.”

Advice for other brides and grooms?
“Enjoy the build up, the day and all the lovely moments after it to! It brings you so close as a family.”
What was your highlight of the day?
“I think it was after the ceremony when we turned round to walk out. I saw everyone I love and care for. ‘I’m feeling good’ by Michael Buble (our choice) kicked in to walk out and I just felt like I was on Cloud nine!”
