Kelsey and Matthew met after being introduced by Kelsey’s sister on a night out. After continuously bumping into each other, fate took its toll and Matthew finally plucked up the courage to ask her on her on a date.
 
The couple soon fell in love before tying the knot at the stunning grounds of Brinkburn Northumberland.

The Venue:

Boasting history and character, this enchanting 12th century manor house and church is settled on the banks of the river Coquet, in the very heart of Northumberland.

This traditional venue, surrounded by a secluded woodland revine, was everything Kelsey and Matthew had ever dreamt of.
 
Kelsey said: “We wanted to keep the traditional feel to our wedding day and Brinkburn was perfect for the vision we had.

The beautiful grounds made the perfect summer wedding. Brinkburn was the first venue we viewed and we fell in love instantly. We visited other venues but all we could think of was Brinkburn and all that it had to offer.
 
This venue really care about making the day as special as possible – I would 100 per cent recommend.”

The high ceilings and stain-glass windows added character and romance, while the rose gold décor and twinkling fairy lights at the tipi reception gave a modern twist to Kelsey and Matthew’s special day.

The Dress:

“The ladies at The Wedding Dress Company boutique were so lovely and put my mind to rest when trying dresses on. As soon as I tried on my dress, I fell in love as I felt the way it hugged my figure. The train was everything I imagined – it was literally love at first sight!” said Kelsey.

Sleek, sophisticated and scattered in lace, this gorgeous Enzoani gown added elegance and beauty. The cut-out sides and figure-hugging style, of Kelsey’s dress, were complemented perfectly by her bridesmaids.

The Bride’s Advice:

"Please don’t stress – it’s hard to say because I definitely did in the upcoming weeks leading to the wedding, but your venue and suppliers are there to make sure your day goes perfectly so enjoy every minute.

Your wedding day will fly by. Sit back and have five minutes to take everything in that is going on around you on your wedding day.”
