Avid readers of our bridal blog may recognise these two love birds, as we shared their engagement shoot, captured by the talented Sawyer and Sawyer, earlier this week. To couples who are thinking of investing in this style of shoot, Kirsty tells us that it was a brilliant way to prepare them for the BIG day, as well as capture this important moment in time.
Their engagement shoot was taken just miles away from their wedding venue, Inn On The Lake, where they became husband and wife on 12th July 2018. Kirsty and James wanted a celebration that reflected them as a couple with personal touches throughout. “We wanted the day to match our personalities and lifestyles. We have big families with lots of children, so embraced having children there to help us celebrate. We kept numbers low so we could enjoy our day mixing and socialising with the people who mean the most to us.”
Kirsty and James chose Ray from Sawyer and Sawyer Photography to capture their special day. “We found Ray (of Sawyer & Sawyer) through an advertisement on Facebook and we were blown away by his work. His creative style speaks for itself and easy nature made us feel extremely relaxed, which is something rare in two people that are shy around the camera. We would definitely recommend Ray to all future brides!”
“The highlight for us was having all our friends and family brought together after many years and being able to celebrate together.”

About Sawyer and Sawyer
Capturing consistently beautiful images is the mission that Sawyer & Sawyer was founded on, and since launching this is something that owner, Ray, continuously delivers. “I understand how important it is to use a wedding photographer who is happy to take the time to get to know both of you. Someone who is then able to use that knowledge to capture those special moments others might miss. When it’s time to choose a wedding photographer, the best choice will be someone who you trust and makes you feel relaxed – a photographer you ‘click’ with.”
My relaxed style of wedding photography combined with a true passion for your day helps me capture not only those special moments, but those precious and spontaneous ones, too – those moments of true emotion and those fleeting moments that will bring back happy memories for years to come.”
