Captured by Katie Byram Photography, this lovley little vintage-inspired wedding touched our hearts as it was not just a celebration of the couple, Anne and Lewis, but also of their small family.
Photographer Katie Byram shares more about the day:
“The wedding took place on 28th May 2011 at Kendal Register Office and the reception at Langdale Youth Hostel near Grasmere.
Anne bought her dress at a vintage shop and chose her flowers from the local florist on the morning of the wedding, much to the florist’s surprise!
The couples’ children were their bridesmaids and the best woman was the groom’s sister Anna (who gave a fantastic & funny speech complete with a powerpoint presentation of photographs of Lewis through his life) the youngest little girl would not leave her Mum’s side during the ceremony and the whole wedding had an extremely family feel to it.
Anne & Lewis hired out the whole youth hostel for their reception, it was a beautiful former Victorian mansion house. They decorated the tables with sweetpeas & daisies and there was a hog roast dinner, and a bouncy castle for the children (of course the adults had a go too).”
