Bonded Warehouse: Laura and Andrew’s Whirlwind Romance

DATE

“I knew from the beginning that he was the one...” – Laura

Ten years ago, Laura was working with Andrew’s mam in a little café. Whenever Andrew popped in for a sandwich at lunch Laura would hide, bashfully, out of the way as her friends teased her about how much she fancied him.

Eventually Laura built up the courage to add Andrew on Facebook; he immediately asked her for her number and they’ve never looked back!

A Christmas Morning Proposal

One Christmas morning turned into a romantic scavenger hunt as Laura followed a trail of gifts around the house – each one containing a clue to where to find the next.

The final present was the couple’s little boy, Henry, sitting in a t-shirt which read “Will you Marry my Daddy” with a ring box on his lap. Having their son be part of Andrew’s proposal made the already special event, even more emotional for Laura.

Fantastic Food and Stunning Surroundings

When it came to picking a venue, full bellies and having space for all of their loved ones to dance the night away was a must have. After saying their vows in the traditional church wedding ceremony they had always dreamed of in the Church of St. Mary Magdalene Hart, they headed to the unique Bonded Warehouse.

A rare survivor of Sunderland’s former industrial landscape, the Bonded Warehouse’s exquisite food and decadent spaces, nestled in a private stop in Sunderland, ticked every box for the couple.

Although Laura and Andrew had no fixed theme as such for their wedding day, wedding co-ordinator Matt and wedding stylist Very Eventful went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was thought of; from the design of the venue, to every thing running smoothly on the day.

The Gown

It only took one visit at Joanne Kay Bridal to seal the deal when it came to Laura finding the gown she would walk down the aisle in.

“The girls in the shop were lovely and made me feel like a million dollars” – Laura

Although Laura had never been to a bridal shop before, she was instantly put at ease by the attentiveness of the boutique consultants who helped her choose a classic Justin Alexander gown with a full, ruffled skirt and an embellished waistband which fitted Laura like a glove and made her look, and feel absolutely stunning.

Words from the Bride

“Everything will work out…” – Laura

Although planning a wedding can be stressful, this level-headed bride says to remember that your wedding day is about you and the one you love – so keep that in mind and don’t worry, because everything will work out on the day.
