Le Petit Chateau: Michelle and Craig’s Picture Perfect Chateau Celebration

DATE

Situated in the heart of Northumberland, this luxurious French, country manor hotel, Le Petit Chateau, promised Michelle and Craig the day of their dreams.

Michelle and Craig were young and in love, when sparks flew, after they first met on bonfire night, around 14 years ago. Their love soon blossomed and they have never looked back since!

Michelle said: “We’ve spent years together and he’s always been the one but since Craig started working away, it meant we would spend months apart.”

Craig took their relationship to the next level when he got down on one knee in Newcastle Airport, after arriving home from work.

He surprised Michelle with a stunning Tiffany engagement ring he had bought from Paris. Romantic to say the least!

THE VENUE:

‘Tastefully traditional or daringly different, whatever you choose, Le Petit Château is exclusively yours, in all its gorgeous French Château glory.’

“This is the only venue we went to view and I knew instantly that we would get married here! The place is absolutely stunning. For me the biggest asset was the on-site pink chapel, La Belle Epoque, it’s truly magical.

I would certainly be recommending this venue to other couples, I had so many compliments from guests and the staff were truly amazing,” Michelle reflected.

Renowned for its fabulous wedding spaces, mediterranean garden and floor to ceiling windows, Le Petit Chateau, promised Michelle and Craig picture perfect views and a stunning backdrop.

The couple’s ceremony was held in Le Belle Époque, which offered them an alternative wedding space for their wedding day.

This aesthetically pleasing room boasted white blossom petals, which hung from the ceiling above and colours of rich gold and ivory green that decorated the walls. It was no surprise that Michelle and Craig were blown away by this enchanting wedding venue.

THE DRESS:

Michelle said: “Myself and my two bridesmaids, Jayne and Sophia, spent a day looking around local bridal dress shops.

I tried on every style and really enjoyed the experience … but this dress was definitely my favourite. I didn’t realise at the time, but my bridesmaids said my face lit up when I tried it on.”

Simple yet stunning, this beautiful Pronovias dress from Laura Day Bridal, oozed class and sophistication. This fit-and-flare gown with satin finish, buttoned up back and bow detailing, added an extra touch of elegance and glamour to her special day.

THE BRIDE’S ADVICE:

“Planning a wedding can be stressful, but don’t let the stress take away the fun out of the planning, everything works out perfect in the end, just enjoy it!

My favourite moment was when we were announced into the room as Mr and Mrs Lowe - it was an amazing feeling.”
