Andrea and Zak wanted the perfect party destination; a setting that offered them the space to host an elegant ceremony followed by a fun-filled, R&B-inspired reception. Le Petit Chateau provided the perfect setting for this couple’s relaxed and personal wedding day. “I wanted everything to be very informal and personal, and I wanted it to be completely unique to us! I wanted everyone to just have fun. For the night time I wanted a hip hop/R&B paradise, as my playlist was completely filled with 90s and 00s classics!”

Andrea and Zak knew the moment they stepped inside Le Petit Chateau that this was where they were going to become husband and wife. “We only looked at two venues in one weekend, and I cried my eyes out as soon as I saw Le Petit Chateau. It is just not like any other venue you can find in the UK. It has a Mediterranean feel to it with the stunning garden area. We were looking for a venue that would be perfect for both the ceremony and reception, and this was it. We would 100% recommend this place to other couples.”

The couple chose Dan McCourt to capture their celebration. “I love how candid and modern Dan’s work is. It’s not the typically cheesy posed wedding photo shoots you see! We’re not the most photogenic pair, so we really just wanted him to capture those special moments.”

One of the reasons Andrea wanted a space for guests to party and let their hair down was because she has a surprise for everyone. “I announced a surprise dance off after the first dance because at the party where we met I won a dance off. No one knew about it except me, so they had no time to prepare!

“Afterwards we had an epic game of beer pong and limbo involving half the guests!”

Advice for other brides and grooms?...
“Don’t get too many opinions from other people. You will have a gut feeling about what you want. If it’s just the bride and groom choosing everything, naturally your personalities and tastes will be all over everything. It is also far less stressful and allows you to be more decisive.”

What was your highlight of the day?...
“Oh my favourite part was actually my maid of honor’s speech. She took an extract from her diary from when she was nine-years-old that spoke about me. It was the most hilarious speech I’ve ever heard.”
