CHRIS AND DANIELLE: A ROMANTIC LATE-AUTUMN WEDDING IN NORTHUMBERLAND'S UNIQUE FRENCH-INSPIRED CHATEAU
“A wedding with the wow factor” … that was Danielle’s dream for her big day, and choosing to celebrate at Northumberland’s super-luxe, French-inspired wedding venue Le Petit Chateau, gave her exactly that. The first time she visited the truly-unique hotel in Otterburn, she was so blown away that she cried, and knew there and then it was the only place to make her dreams come true.
Danielle and Chris opted for a late-Autumn wedding, getting married on a sunny, dry November 2nd last year – the same special date they had previously become engaged and moved into their new home. In keeping with family tradition, the pair exchanged vows at Danielle’s local church St Mary’s, in Stannington, before the newlyweds travelled in her grandfather’s Mercedes (“his pride and joy”) to Le Petit Chateau.

The Spectacular Venue:
“We came across Le Petit Chateau on Instagram but given how utterly spectacular it is, we both thought it would be way over our budget. However, when we looked into the Winter wedding packages, we realised it wasn’t so we decided to visit,” said Danielle.
“To say we were blown away was an understatement - I actually cried – and we instantly knew this was the venue for us. Not only did it provide luxury for ourselves but with all the gorgeous rooms it also provided luxury for our guests.
“I couldn’t recommend Le Petit Chateau more highly, they really know how to do a wedding, the food was utterly amazing and their customer service was second to none, not just on the day but during the build up to the wedding as well.”

‘Out of this World’ Photos:
Danielle and Chris chose David at Sunderland-based Bride and Groom Wedding Photography to capture their unique day. The results left the couple speechless.
“I was so nervous for the end result,” admitted Danielle, “Not because I had any doubt in our photographer, just purely because I hate having my picture taken… but boy did Dave deliver.
“He provided us with so much choice, with different filters of our pictures as well as the originals, and created a picture slideshow with backing music of our choice from start to finish.
“We have had so many compliments on how beautiful the photos are, with one person describing them as ‘out of this world’.”
Danielle’s Advice:
“Try not to stress over the small details, or things not going perfectly, just relax and enjoy every moment of the day; you will be so happy regardless of any minor hiccups because your marrying the love of your life.
“Also, make sure you take time together to stop and enjoy snapshots of the day, as it does go so quickly. After the speeches Chris stopped me just to sit with him, scan the room and take in all the people there to share our special day. It truly was the best day of our lives.”
