Madeleine and Adam hosted a glamorous winter wedding at the picture-perfect Le Petit Chateau, in Otterburn. Since meeting one another at Christmas and then Adam popping the question on boxing day two years later, the couple wanted to continue the winter theme.
“We wanted to celebrate our love for one another with all the people who were important to us that was our main motivation, but we were really relaxed through the whole process and decided on a short engagement.”
“Scott and Corrine actually covered the wedding of one of my close friends and I remembered thinking how amazing they were, they knew exactly what they needed from everyone but were so natural and relaxed. That’s exactly what I wanted for my own wedding.”
“We fell in love with our venue, Le Petit Chateau, before it was even built and were one of the first couples to sign up from the plans alone. There were a few raised eyebrows from the parents when we said we’d paid the deposit but we had faith.
“In our excitement one weekend we drove up when it was very much still a building site and were given a sneaky peak of the renovations and saw that no expense was being spared and the quality of the workmanship. We never doubted for one second it wouldn’t be ready… we knew it was going to be out of this world and it didn’t disappoint. All of our guests thought it was spectacular.”
Any advice for future brides and grooms-to-be?
“It’s quite easy to get overwhelmed by the amount of choice when it comes to weddings. We never visited a single wedding fair, of course we researched our suppliers but in the end only chose between two or three and were quite decisive through the whole process and everyone commented on how relaxed we were. I trusted my gut instinct throughout and have no regrets!”
