Woodhill Hall: Lora and Jonathan’s Fun and Floral Happily Ever After
“There was no light bulb moment, he was my person and I was his.”
Set on a private 100-acre estate, this luxurious wedding venue, Woodhill Hall, promised Lora and Jonathan the wedding day of their dreams.
The couple first met in school, before continuously bumping into each other in the most random places – it was definitely fate!
Their relationship took to the next level when Jonathan proposed on a camping trip around the west coast of Scotland and, of course, Lora said yes.
The Venue:
‘Entirely exclusive and utterly unforgettable’
This wonderful country house, Woodhill Hall, situated in the village of Otterburn, promised the couple a romantic atmosphere and picturesque views like no other.
Surrounded by the beautiful Northumbrian countryside, this stunning wedding venue, bursting with style, offered the perfect setting for Lora and Jonathan’s big day.
The beautifully designed Orangery was home to their ceremony - fitted with hanging flowers, bursting with bright colours and rustic wooden chairs, The Orangery certainty had the wow factor.
The Woodhill Hall famous tipi held the couple’s evening reception, complete with twinkling fairy lights and intertwined ivory leaves.
Lora – “From turning into the driveway, entering the main hall to walking down the steps into The Orangery – Woodhill Hall is one big WOW.
I had followed Woodhill Hall, for a little while, on social media and I had fallen in love. After we had been to view this venue, we just knew it was the perfect place for us.
I would 100 per cent recommend this venue to other couples, they take away the stress and guide you to your perfect day.”
The Dress:
“We went to The Wedding Dress Company in Corbridge, as I knew they were stockists of a dress designer that I loved, Enzoani. I wasn’t feeling great, as the styles I had picked out were beautiful, but I just didn’t love them when I tried them on.
It wasn’t until thetwo amazing women, who ran the boutique, picked a style that they thought would be perfect for me and I fell in love - I can’t thank them enough for helping me find the perfect dress, right down to the veil and accessories, they made it perfect.” - Lora
Lora stepped out in a gorgeous fishtail Enzoani gown, enhanced with an intricate embellished waistband and sweetheart neckline.
The Bride’s Advice:
“It’s all worth it, I promise. You wont please everyone, but that’s okay – its your wedding, not theirs. What matters most is that you and your partner have the day of your lives that you both want.
Also, take every opportunity you can, to take a step back from the planning. Look at it from a different perspective, as it is very easy to get lost in a Pinterest hole.”
