Nigel and Mary married on 06.05.17 at St Mary’s Church followed by a marquee reception with photography by Kirsty Mattsson Photography.

Across the busy bar of Electric, in Chlorton, is where Nigel and Mary first laid eyes on each other. No one else seemed to matter, as the bustling atmosphere faded into the background. It was just Mary and Nigel and the exciting unknown of what the future could hold. You could say it was love at first sight.

Fate then brought the couple back together, as the next night they were unknowingly invited to the same party. “We met there again… and as they say, the rest is history.”

Eight years later in the heart of Wreay Village, Nigel and Mary held their nuptials in St Mary’s Church followed by a beautiful marquee reception at Mary’s parent’s home. “I always wanted to get married in my garden overlooking my family home surrounded by the fields I played in as a girl.”

In the manicured gardens of Mary’s childhood home, the couple’s vision of a laid-back, countryside affair was bought to life with bundles of blooms, rustic décor, homemade touches and the presence of their nearest and dearest.

“Kirsty was recommended by a local photographer, and how lucky we were. Kirsty did such an amazing job!”
