Le Petit Chateau: Melissa and David's Wanderlust Wedding at Home

DATE

From the word go Melissa and David’s relationship was a whirlwind. Travelling and exploring the world together meant that a few weeks together felt more like months.
“It was the most personal, overwhelming and unforgettable moment of my life.” – Melissa

When the couple settled down and moved into their first home together six years later, David had one more adventure in store… he handed Melissa the key to open the door and as she put them into the door David pointed to them and said “what’s that?” Hanging amongst the keys was a glistening diamond ring. Gobsmacked, Melissa had turned to see David down on one knee.

The Venue

When it came to choosing a venue, the exotic Le Petit Chateau enchanted the couple.

“Every space is so different but perfectly matched.” – Melissa

Walking into the ceremony room had left the couple overwhelmed by the sheer beauty and wanderlust of the space which made them feel like they had walked into a venue in the Mediterranean.

The Dress

With all of the excitement of planning their wedding, Melissa hadn’t gotten around to booking an appointment at The Wedding Company like she planned, but one day after seeing that they had a cancellation, she jumped on her chance to visit the boutique.

Early one Sunday morning, after a romantic breakfast in Corbridge, Melissa left Dave to explore the village while she went in for her appointment.

“I just knew it was the one and had to buy it there and then.” – Melissa

One hour later, Melissa left the shop with the perfect dress in her hands; a strapless. Perfectly fitted gown with a fishtail silhouette.

The couple picked Lee Scullion as their photographer though recommendations, and thanks to his professionalism and dedication to capturing special moments that even the bride and groom didn’t realise had happened until they received their photos, the couple were able to relax and enjoy their day together.
