Childhood sweethearts, Michael and Kate tied the knot on the 24th March 2018 in a beautiful celebration amidst the picturesque setting of Middleton Lodge.

“Middleton Lodge was the first wedding venue we visited and we loved it straight away! The house, the grounds and the staff sold it for me and the Cellar Bar was amazing for continuing the party until 2am!”

“I would absolutely recommend the venue to future brides; the staff are amazing, attentive and so professional. Chloe and Anna did everything possible to make the day perfect and as we wanted it; they made me feel like I was the only bride getting married there.”

“We wanted a big, family wedding where everyone could have fun and enjoy themselves! We have two young daughters so it was important that they played a key role in the day, too.”

Surrounded by friends and family this elegantly chic day was filled with dusky pink accents and contemporary styling.

How did you choose your photographer?

"We had met Michael Cartwright for the first time in Cyprus when we were at Michael’s brother’s wedding. Even at Gary’s wedding it was like having a friend there rather than a photographer. Michael’s photos are fantastic; he was so professional and approachable we didn’t even consider anyone else!"

Advice for other brides and grooms?

"We created a visual timeline of when everything needed to be done by, even the smallest things were added on to the list. This really helped us to focus our planning and buying!"

"Don’t stress about the little things… everyone is there for you to celebrate your day and they want the best for you. If something goes wrong, it is probably only the bride who will notice, and maybe the groom if he has helped with the planning!

"Take some time during the day to have five minutes away from your guests to take in the day."

What was your highlight of the day?

"The actual ceremony was so special. Walking in to a room filled full of family and friends was amazing; it was overwhelming to see everyone who is there for you both to celebrate your marriage. We loved seeing our girls coming down the aisle too as flower girls; they looked beautiful and made us so proud."
