Mrs & Mrs in Mooshki – Rachael and Yvonne’s Wedding at Whinstone View

Rachael and Yvonne married in April at the new Wray’s Barn at Whinstone View and had a fantastically home-grown day with help and support from both family and friends.

We adore their House of Mooshki gowns, in different designs but matching pale blue hues, and custom designed shoes by Shoes of Prey. The girls entered the ceremony together to the rapturous sound of the London Community Gospel Choir and married under a Chuppah adorned with messages and wishes from the guests.

For the reception the girls used fruit and veg from the local greengrocers, arranged by sister-in-law Claire, and served yummy fish and chips for the meal. Allotment-grown fruit was used for the jam for the wedding favours and they even designed their own stationery.

Special thanks from the happy couple:

“Lots of friends and family helped, but special mentions go to our friend David, who helped us put together our Chuppah (Jewish wedding canopy) which had messages and designs from all our guests, and Rachael’s dad, Steve, for designing and making the frame structure for the Chuppah, the table decorations, and a rustic ‘line up’ for our seating plan…. amongst other things!”

“Miriam and Lauren (more wonderful sister-in-laws!) for helping decorate the barn. Our friend Matt, and Rachael’s brother Adrian, for labeling 80 jars of jam! Brother Ali, and Godmother Alex, for making more cake for the cake table – but this list could go on and on, we were helped by lots of special people-thank you everyone, we love you!!”

Advice for other engaged couples?

“Make sure your day reflects both of your personalities. Let your loved ones join in to share the work and the joy of organising your wedding. It’s a really special day for them too. Enjoy all the preparations!”
