“It was warm, welcoming and cosy – perfect for a winter wedding.”

27th December, Laura and Drew said their vows, surrounded by family and friends, at Whinstone View. They wanted a fun, relaxed feel to their wedding day, where guests could have a good drink, let their hair down and continue with the festive celebrations.

Whinstone View promised the couple a magical day they had only ever dreamt off and with their ‘evening glamour’ theme, they knew it was going to be better than they could have ever imagined.

The Outfits:

Laura said, “Everyone tells you that when you try your wedding dress on you know straight away that it is the dress for you however, that wasn’t the case for me.”

Laura was faced with a difficult decision after finding a few dresses that she really liked, but in the end she went with her gut and said, “I’m so glad I did, I loved my dress.”

She opted for a glamorous, high neck, Sophia Tolli dress, with lace detailing and a long train, adding that all-important wow factor.

Drew stepped out in a traditional black and white three-piece and dickie bow tie. The classic, monochrome colour’s complemented the couple’s classy and romantic theme.

The Venue:

Whinstone View’s cosy, intimate barn was everything the couple was looking for. The overhead beams, wooden chairs and brick walls, gave a rustic feel and added character and charm to their special day.

The serene surroundings of Wray’s Barn, created nothing less than a relaxed, peaceful and idyllic setting for Laura and Drew’s wedding celebrations.

The Bride’s Advice:

“Enjoy every single moment and try to spend as much time together on the day as you can. Also, try not to stress too much, everything comes together in the end, easier said than done but it’s true.”

Laura added, “Everything about the day was magical from the moment I woke up. The weather could not have been better, the most important people in our lives were there and I got to marry my best friend. I had the best day ever.”
