Rockliffe Hall: Rachael and Donald’s Fun and Floral Wedding Wonder
A hidden gem nestled in the North East, Rockliffe Hall is known for providing a five star luxurious setting - perfect for the fun and floral celebrations Rachael and Donald had planned.
In the same grounds of what would become their dream-wedding venue, Donald popped the question and asked Rachael to marry him. At the time of the proposal, the couple had no idea that they were standing in the very place where their wedding reception would be held.
Location Loving
The couple walked the aisle at St. John’s Church before making their way to the exclusive venue, Rockliffe Hall.
‘Fall in love with Rockliffe Hall, the ultimate wedding venue…”
This luxurious home-away-from-home, set within 375 acres, offered Rachael and Donald a wedding they would remember forever.
With grand spaces and breath-taking grounds, along with a romantic ambience and a beautiful location, Rockliffe Hall promised everything and more for Rachael and Donald’s dream day.
Rachael - “I instantly loved the whole vibe - the venue itself is absolutely stunning with fabulous grounds. The staff alone are first class and you truly feel the luxury of the venue when you visit.”
The traditional church ceremony was fitted with stunning stain glass windows and wooden features throughout, while fun and floral decorations scattered their reception room.
The Dream Dress
“My dream dress was not one of the dresses I initially picked out to try on, in fact it was on display, worn by the mannequin at the time - I just couldn’t take my eyes off it. I asked if I could try on the dress and was simply wowed by it.” - Rachael
For all the right reasons, this dramatic ballroom gown stood out to the bride. Complete with fitted bodice, lace applique and beautiful and bold embellishments, Rachael enhanced her dream dress by adding intricately detailed straps, also bought from Wed2B.
Rachael later stepped out in a traditional oriental outfit, with bursts of rich red and gold colours.
Final Words from the Bride
“Wedding planning is super stressful – you’ll get a lot of opinions from relatives and in-laws, I would say value their opinion but if you don’t want to then don’t, it’s your wedding at the end of the day not theirs.
Also, it’s a good idea to sit down with the other half and go through a list of things that need doing. Sharing the preparations lessons the stress and you’ll both know what’s going to happen on the day.”
