Rockliffe Hall: Katie and Paul’s Relaxed, Family Orientated Wedding
Two separate nights out between friends, in Yarm, led Katie and Paul together.

It seemed like fate, when Katie said to her friends that she would find the love of her life that very night. She did just that, when just nine months later Paul asked Katie to marry him.
Back in May last year, the pair said their vows in front of their loving families and close friends. Katie said: “We both come from families with parents who have been married over 30 years. It was always important to us that our day was very family-orientated.

On the edge of the County Durham and North Yorkshire boarder, this hidden treasure, Rockliffe Hall, promised Katie and Paul a home-away-from-home, luxurious wedding day. There is no doubt their day was unforgettable for all the right reasons.
THE VENUE:
The amazing orangery, stunning grounds and picture-perfect backdrop had Katie and Paul hooked from the minute they saw all that Rockliffe Hall had to offer.

Katie said: “We looked around many venues for the perfect place but had a strict list of what we wanted. Having been to Rockliffe Hall for a spa day, we had a look around and instantly fell in love. It ticked all of our boxes and more!”
The white tiebacks, glass chandeliers and pops of purple flowers added a modern twist to this romantic hotel.
Two stunning flower bouquets stood proud at the sides of the aisle while the high ceilings and tall wooden beams – decorated in gold – added a sense of luxury and class to their ceremony room. There is no surprise why Katie and Paul fell in love all over again.

Katie’s bardot-style bodice, covered in lace oozed elegance. The lace detailing carried on right through her dress and was complemented by the small white flowers in her hair.
This Morilee design from Elizabeth George Bridal had a full skirt and delicate button-up back.

ADVICE FOR OTHERS:
Katie reflected: “Enjoy your day and take some time out for each other throughout the day. Try to not let the little things stress or worry you as it all comes together. We had a mini moon after the wedding, as we didn’t go on our honeymoon until October. I definitely recommend a mini moon as it gives you time to reflect on your perfect day.
We had so many amazing memories, but the highlight for me, was walking down the aisle to Paul. Saying our vows is a moment none of us will forget.
We stood there in front of everyone we loved, all of our family and friends and finally became husband and wife.”
