Roker Hotel: From Lakeside To Seaside For Ann-Marie And Paul
Little did Ann-Marie and Paul know that they would be spending forever together when they first met at a friend's wedding many years ago. More than 10 years later, Paul proposed to Ann-Marie in the most memorable way – in the middle of Lake Windermere on a rowing boat.
From lakeside to seaside, this couple celebrated their special day in the picturesque setting of the Roker Hotel. “Our overall plan was to have a relaxed day with special friends and family. To eat good food and drink nice cocktails, but most important to have my grandparents there (Joan and Leo Watson) as they are my best role models,” said Ann-Marie.
“We wanted something a little different with plenty of space to allow the older family members to stay away from noise. The restaurant offered great food and a brilliant atmosphere, and the cocktail bar was certainly a hit. On the day the venue couldn’t be faulted.”
Ann-Marie and Paul chose Erika Tanith Photography to capture this special day. They chose Erika because of her “great online pictures and fantastic personality at a really good price... (Erika) definitely made the day special.”
Advice for other brides and grooms?
“Don’t stress about the little things, although you might want/need them, on the day it’s all about getting married and having fun. Don’t worry if you bicker before the wedding, or afterwards, as when all the stress is gone, you will be back to normal.”
