SEAHAM HALL: CATHERINE AND ANDREW'S PICTURE PERFECT AUTUMNAL WEDDING

DATE

“We wanted a romantic, beautiful wedding full of fun and laughter.”

After meeting when they were just ten years old and growing up in the same town, Catherine and Andrew were ready to share their special day with family and friends.

Seaham Hall had always played a part in both Catherine and Andrew’s lives and after not really considering any other venue, they knew it would be more than perfect.

As Catherine’s friends were known for saying she could rule the world with her iPhone, it made sense for her to take charge when planning their big day.

“Andrew works abroad so was away for the majority of the time. We were on a New Year cruise just after the proposal and I already had all the main suppliers booked before we were even home!”

THE VENUE:

The theme of rose gold and blush filled the venue and the added autumnal colours gave it a vintage touch.

Catherine said, “I felt on top of the world, it was magical. The ceremony took place in the courtyard – it was stunning. The glass roof allowed so much natural light into the room; it felt like a summer’s day.”

Seaham Hall provided an enchanting backdrop, picture-perfect gardens and fine dining, everything all couples dream of.

THE DRESS:

Covered in elegant lace, Catherine’s Mark Lesley dress – purchased from Amore Brides, Sunderland – was a subtle blush pink colour. The illusion of the keyhole back was complemented by the delicacy of the fabric buttons. The dress continued to impress with its detachable train and bow detailing.

THE MUSIC:

The couple had chosen the song ‘Tale as Old as Time’, by North East Soiree. “Before the wedding, we had heard that song being played by a string quartet. We both had goose bumps and knew it was the one,” Catherine said.
