When Katja met Gorazd
Both working as lawyers, the couple had first met each other when representing their clients in court, but after a while the couple were swapping the court room for a restaurant - and before long they had judgedeach other to be a perfect match. Now expecting a baby, continue to hear more about this classical wedding surrounded by pretty pastels and beautiful botanicals.

The Venue
“Arboretum is especially beautiful at the beginning of the summer.” - Katja

After Gorazd had popped the question in Venice, with a ring in one hand a rose in the other, the couple were married in Arboretum Volcji Potok - a botanical park in Slovenia.  Photographed by Matej Lancic, the peaceful surroundings, containing over 3,500 different plants from around the world, and picturesque mansion ruins, combined with the breathtaking view of the Kamnik Alps, were the ideal backdrop for the couple to begin their lives together.

The Dress
When looking for a dress, Katja had already had some practice; having modelled wedding dresses in the past. The bride knew what suited her and choosing her princess cut Grazia gown was a breeze.

 

The dress Katja finally picked, combined a dramatic train with a 3D appliqué corset piece to produce the quintessential princess gown. When you added this to her tidy up-do and the grooms traditional black suit, we were LIVING for their final looks which combine conventional and modern day wedding fashion.

Teamwork Makes the Dream Work
Working together, Katja and Gorazd picked everything; from the beautiful venue, to all of the little extras, and the groom even lent a hand to Katja’s final choice of wedding dress!

Topped off with funny and endearing speeches from the best man and best woman and an unforgettable first dance together, Katja and Gorazd's wedding at the Arboretum really was a collaborative effort, and the result was the wedding of their dreams, surrounded by friends, family, and live music.
