South Causey Inn: A Beautiful Wedding For Jacqueline And Nick
Jacqueline and Nick first met when they were 18 and 22 and sadly lost touch soon after. It wasn't until 10 years later when they reconnected on Facebook that they realised they simply couldn't be without one another. Friends and family gathered at the beautiful setting of the South Causey Inn to celebrate Jacqueline and Nick tying the knot. Captured by Erica Tanith Photography, this day is truly special...

"Nick wanted Parachute Regiment and Armed forces reflected in the day and I wanted beautiful rose garden colours and flowers. We both wanted a strong family feel to the day. We managed this with Regimental stationary, the tables were named after Regimental Battle Honours, and we had regimental engraved glassware for the bride and groom. The groom, best man and guard of honour for the bride were in military dress. The flower, table decorations, place names and gift bags were in the same flowers as the bridal bouquets. We wanted a relaxed and beautiful day and we achieved that. We are fortunate that so many of our family and friends had the skills and talents to help us achieve what we wanted for our wedding day."

"We have been to the South Causey Inn for food on a number of occasions, so we knew they did weddings. We went to one of their wedding fayres and saw the rooms set up - it was so beautiful we could picture getting married there. It was the perfect venue and I would recommend it to others. The food was wonderful, music was fab and the wedding packages they offer are reasonably priced and you get a lot of “added extras” included. Also the staff were great - they couldn’t do enough for us."

"I spent a long time choosing a photographer and looking at online profiles, feedback from other brides and also going to wedding fayres for inspiration. Looking at Erika’s work online we both loved her style and went to meet her. Erika made us feel that she would give us the kind of photographs we wanted, she has a fantastic style, which is fun and natural which suited us as a couple and a family. We were delighted with the pre-wedding shoot and we are so glad we chose Erika for our wedding day, she was the perfect choice."

Advice for other brides and grooms?
"Just relax and enjoy it. The day goes by so fast. Ignore any small details that may not go as planned, chances are no-one else notices anyway."
What was your highlight of the day?
"The highlight of the day was actually getting married in front of our family and friends. It is something our children will remember, it was a really happy day with a lot of laughter."
