Stephanie and Alex first met around thirteen years ago when they studied at the same university however, their love story began, a few years later, when they were reunited at a friends wedding.

After a beautiful Barbados proposal, Stephanie and Alex set about planning the biggest day of their lives - dreaming of a wedding which all of their guests would enjoy.

After marrying at Kirkby Stephen Parish Church, Stephanie and Alex celebrated the night away at the exclusive and intimate wedding venue, Eden Barn.

Overlooking Cumbria’s enchanting Upper Eden Valley, this boutique barn promised countryside charm, picturesque scenery and a day that the couple would cherish forever.

Located right in the middle of the countryside with the most spectacular views, what’s not to love?

This lovingly restored barn evoked nothing less than a timeless elegance. Steering away from dramatic decorations, Stephanie and Alex wanted to keep Eden Barn just as it came - minimalistic and elegant.

Twinkling fairy lights and golden colours ran throughout their reception room, while brass candles were added to enhance the romantic and relaxing ambience.

Dream Dress:

“This was probably one of the hardest things to decide - there’s so much pressure knowing that everyone is going to be focussing on you.

Once I found ‘the one’, I had customised cape sleeves added to my dress by the fabulous seamstress who understood and created exactly what I wanted.” - Stephanie
 
With help from Hayley and her team at The Harrogate Wedding Lounge, Stephanie found the dress of her dreams and popped open the champagne to celebrate.

Stephanie walked the grand aisle of Kirkby Stephen Parish Church in an elegant Justin Alexander gown. Enhanced with bohemian detailing and a floor length veil, Stephanie’s look was complemented beautifully by her navy blue bridesmaids’ dresses.

Being guided through the process by someone who already has a relationship with the suppliers is much quicker and less stressful. This way, we could enjoy planning our wedding and the lead up to the big day.”
