Everything we do here at Belle Bridal is for our regional bridal beauties, and there's nothing we love more than seeing our inboxes filled with weddings that you've sent in! As you can imagine - being the region's largest wedding magazine - we're inundated with weddings and today we've got a beautiful destination wedding set against the scenic backdrop of Lake Windermere in the Lake District to share with you all.

On the 20th April 2018, Tim and Laura tied the knot in the very same place Tim had first popped the question. The idyllic surroundings and sentimental value made this wedding the dreamiest of celebrations.

“Tim proposed to me in Windermere in the Lake District which makes it a special place for us, along with its natural beauty. We did look closer to home but had either seen it before or didn’t have ‘the feeling’. As soon as we went to The Daffodil we knew we would get married here. It is right on the lake with glass doors from one end of the function room to the other. The food is amazing and general feeling of the hotel is unexplainable.”

Vintage accents and romantic elegance filled the venue, mirroring the true essence of the couple’s day.  Kharine’s Photography by Karen Robson captured this charming celebration, creating memories to last a lifetime.

“Our photographer has previously taken photographs for us, of our little girl Brooke for her first birthday, of me and Tim together, and also family shots with Brooke when she was smaller. We therefore wanted to have the same photographer.”

Advice for other brides and grooms?

“Enjoy your day. When people tell you it’ll go so fast you don’t realise just how fast it does!! Don’t worry … when you walk down that aisle you see no one other than the man you love at the other end. It’s the best feeling in the world.”

What was your highlight of the day?

“Seeing Tim for the first time at the bottom of the aisle and the ceremony. At this moment I think everyone could see how much we adore each other, my heart melted seeing him crying.”
