REAL WEDDINGS

The Grand Hotel, Tynemouth: Krystal and Kevin's Travel Themed Wedding

DATE

Although Krystal and Kevin met in 2013, it wasn’t until 2015 that the couple began their journey together. After a romantic first holiday together, the crowning jewel of the trip was – quite literally – when Kevin popped the question in the crown of the Statue of Liberty in New York!

The Venue:

Krystal – “The hotel is absolutely stunning and beautifully located on the Tynemouth coast. The staff, including Tim – our master of ceremonies, were very attentive. We would 100 per cent recommend this venue to other couples.”

When it came to picking a venue it really was location, location, location for Krystal and Kevin. The Grand Hotel, Tynemouth offered the couple a dream venue on the coast, just like they had always wanted.

Taking inspiration from some of the worldwide locations they have travelled together, Krystal and Kevin’s wedding had a jetsetter and Scottish theme.

When it came to the big day, the staff were so attentive, especially Tim, the couple’s Master of Ceremonies, that the pair were able to relax knowing that everything was taken care of.

The Dress:

“I went wedding dress shopping with my mum and was advised to try on the very last dress at Bride’s Dream. It was absolutely perfect for me and also for the wedding venue.” - Krystal

Krystal stepped out in a Madeline Gardner gown, with embellished back and lace embroidery. This beautiful mermaid dress with pearl detailing and V-neck, created a sense of elegance on the couple’s special day.

The Bride’s Advice:

“Don’t panic about getting around everyone and try and leave time for yourselves on the day to get together and take it all in.” – Krystal

From Krystal’s funniest memory of keeping her husband-to-be waiting an extra twenty minutes for her to walk down the aisle due to a ‘underskirt malfunction’ to enjoying the beautiful travel-themed wedding cake that her mother had lovingly made, the best advice this bride could give is not to sweat the little things and just enjoy your special day with your loved ones.
