Terence proposed to Stephanie as the sun set over a beautiful private beach in Barbados. Fast forward to 20th January 2018 and the pair enjoyed a wonderful wedding celebration against the picturesque backdrop of The Mansion at Roundhay Park.

“I knew before looking at The Mansion that was where I wanted us to marry! Roundhay Park means a lot to my family, my dad has been selling ice cream there for the last 20 years!”

“I would definitely recommend The Mansion. We loved how we had exclusivity for the full day and the location was ideal for many guests so they didn’t need to book hotels.”

This meaningful venue set the scene and tone for the couple’s special day.

“We wanted our wedding to be quite simple, yet classy. The Mansion was the perfect venue. As it was a winter wedding we chose an ivory, gold and navy colour scheme with ivory flowers and candles. I wanted it to feel warm and cosy on the day.”

How did you choose your photographer?

"My sister and I went to the Harrogate Wedding Fair and when we saw Kirsty Mattsson’s amazing photos we just knew she was the one! We loved how she captured people’s emotions and how her photos tell a story."

What was the highlight of your day?

"The whole day was perfect from the beginning to the end! We loved celebrating with all our family and friends and knowing they were all there for us. The whole day was like a fairy-tale we didn’t want it to end. I wish we could relive it again and again."

Advice for other brides and grooms?

"Enjoy every single moment! The day goes too fast! If you can go on honeymoon soon after the wedding I would say do it! We went to the airport the day after then flew early the following day & it just added to the excitement."
