Traditional Thicket Priory:

Steeped in history and built in the 1840’s, Thicket Priory has only recently been open to the public, after being shrouded in privacy for decades.

Offering an ethereal country house with an impressive ballroom, private chapel and a quirky boathouse, there really isn’t anything that this venue doesn’t have to offer.

Adoring the architecture and hidden gems throughout the priory, Rachael and Kyle said they were truly blessed that this was the venue where they tied the knot.

“The most dreamy and enchanting venue we’ve ever seen.” - Rachael

Picture Perfect:

Rachael and Kyle hired Studio Lester to photograph their special day. Capturing everything to perfection, the couple was more than happy with their memories caught on camera.

Rachael - “As well as being a calming influence on the day, from start to finish Studio Lester always put us first, making sure we were happy with the timings and how the day was progressing.

In preparation for our big day, they devoted time beforehand getting to know the venue in order to capture the most incredible shots and were so passionate about trying to make our day absolutely perfect!”

Bridal Beauty:

Rachael found her dream dress at Chlõe Jane Bridalwear - featuring a high neck and cathedral length veil, this was the exact dress Rachael wanted for her Priory wedding. Recommending Chlõe, Rachael said the calm and relaxing atmosphere of the boutique made her decision that bit easier.

Hair was styled by Elizabeth Horner, based in Selby. Creating a tousled updo for Rachael, her full-length veil and bridal headpiece slotted into the updo to create that traditional hairstyle that every bride desires.

Amy George, MUA based in Leeds, did Rachael’s Bridal make-up. Using warm eye shadows to keep in tone with the theme and décor, natural base and glowing skin. It was the bridal look you dream of as a child.
