Three Hills Barn: A Bohemian Barn Celebration For Sarah And Alex
The journey of Sarah and Alex began at a wedding fair, can you believe it? “We met each other through mutual friends. I had been helping a friend out at a wedding fair and afterwards we all decided to go for drinks. We met Alex later on and began speaking to each from there! I remember thinking he was literally the most handsome man I had ever seen! We went on a few dates after that, made each other mix tapes and went on so many trips away, and after two years of being girlfriend/boyfriend he asked me to marry him in Sausalito Harbor across from San Francisco.”

On 21st July 2018, the pair tied the knot in the picturesque setting of the Three Hills Barn, surrounded by their nearest and dearest. “I loved the idea of getting married in a barn and we found Three Hills Barn online. We went to meet Mark and Jenny - the owners - and adored the venue. They were so chilled and laid back and we knew straight away it was the perfect venue for us. The barn is stunning and the ground around the barn are just perfect. I couldn’t recommend the venue enough, everyone said how lovely Mark and Jenny were and how magical the venue was. We camped after our wedding in a yurt and it was perfect. It was so cosy and the next day Mark and Jenny cooked us all a big breakfast to help with the hangovers!”

“I always imagined a really relaxed laidback wedding, I am a bohemian at heart for sure, I love the outdoors, nature and anything green! I wanted to decorate the venue with a rustic natural theme and with the help of Janet from Wilde and Romantic we picked some stunning decorations. I had skulls, greenery, wild flowers, moss, tree slices and plants all around the venue. My florist, Vanessa Adams, completely blew me away and got the most amazing wild flowers for us, we filled so many gin bottles full of wildflowers and flowers from my mam and dads garden.”

How did you choose your photographer?
“We spent so long looking for a photographer and it was so important to us to find the perfect photographer. Alex loves photography and found it hard finding someone he really liked. When we seen Camilla’s work on facebook we both fell in love with it and we were so excited when we booked her. Every week we would look out for her wedding previews and they always blew us away.”
Advice for other brides and grooms?
“Enjoy every minute because the day will fly by so quick! Try to make time to take it all in, we sat in the marquee at night for 10 minutes while everyone was dancing and talked about the day and had a little chill out before carrying on dancing. Also do not stress about the small things I remember stressing about favors for weeks then I ended up forgetting to put them out but no one noticed and in the end if really didn’t matter.”

What was your highlight of the day?
“The highlight of my dad was walking down the aisle and seeing Alex’s face, he made me feel so beautiful and loved and it really was so magical.”
