Whinstone View: Hannah and Tom's Rustic Wedding with WOW Factor

DATE

It wasn’t long after Hannah and Tom met, back in secondary school, that they became childhood sweethearts. Now both teachers at the same academy, during the Christmas holidays in 2017, Tom had gotten down on one knee and the couple had welcomed in the new year as husband and wife-to-be.

The Venue:

Hannah – “I would absolutely recommend Whinstone View to other couples – it’s only a short drive from the town but when you’re there it feels like you are miles away in the countryside.

The barn definitely has the WOW factor – our top table with a light curtain behind it, looked amazing. The wedding team did a fantastic job and our tables and decoration were exactly as we planned. We also loved the amount of choice we were given in terms of food and drink. Where else would allow you to have Canapés, a beef dinner, ‘help yourself’ dessert table and then a fish and chip van for an evening reception?”

The couple’s first wedding fair was at Whinstone View and they had immediately fallen in love with the laid-back and homely feel of the venue and booked their day their within the month.

The Dress:

“Being only 5 feet tall, I found it really difficult to imagine myself in a dress that actually fit me properly! My sister got married in the year previous, so I went to the bridal shop she used in Gateshead called “I do… Wedding Specialists” and they could not have been more accommodating. The staff were so friendly and were never in a rush to hurry me along.

I tried on several dresses and suddenly felt great in them all. There was one particular dress that I wanted to try back on as soon as I took it off and that’s how I knew I had found the one!”

Hannah walked the commanding aisle in Biano Evento gown, in style Chiara. The fitted bodice, a-line skirt and satin finish added glamour and class to Hannah and Tom’s wedding day.

The Bride’s Advice:

“Before the day everyone told me to enjoy it while it lasts as it goes so quickly, which I always thought was off, but it was so true.

Looking back on photographs and videos taken on the day, the smile on my face says it all. Things will inevitably go wrong but just enjoy every second and take some time out to spend with each other and soak up the moment!”
