We're firm believers in that everything happens for a reason, and although Joanne and Dave think they met under unusual circumstances, it was clear that they were destined to be together. "It's a bit of an embarrassing story, we both worked at the same place but didn’t really know each other that well. Dave was looking for a lodger and I was looking for a rental place for me and my dog Jack. A friend put us in touch, I moved in and a not so short time later we were together."

Today we're sharing with you their gorgeous celebration at the beautiful setting of Woodhill Hall, in Otterburn. "Dave and I both just wanted to have a relaxed fun day surrounded by friends and family. We kept things simple so not to distract from the beauty of the venue. We just aimed for good food, good wine and lots of dancing - and we succeeded!"

"Woodhill Hall is the most amazing place to get married, it is so beautiful and quirky, the food is superb and the staff are fab! Plus Norman our dog could be part of our day, so there was no question Woodhill was the place for us. Dave was away on business and there was an open day at L.P.C. so I went with the girls. We saw a sign for Woodhill open day so popped in and that was it we loved it! I went back up with Dave a few days later and booked it then and there."

How did you choose your photographer?
"Pete is a friend of ours who we have known for years, so there was no question who to choose as his work is amazing and he just makes you feel so relaxed."

Advice for other brides and grooms?
"Keep things simple, don’t stress, the day is there to enjoy so make sure you do!"

What was your highlight of the day?
"I don’t think we can choose the whole day was just brilliant from start to finish. The ceremony was so relaxed with lots of laughs, the magic trick Glenn did that blew us away, the personalized poem and speeches during the breakfast, Norman joining in with the first dance, the awesome band and music that kept us dancing all night."
