Something wicked this way comes – or rather something wickedly rich and indulgent…
All Hallow’s Dream was a luxuriously bold and rebellious shoot to showcase the individuality couples are currently showcasing through their intimate engagement and wedding celebrations.
Think a Halloween spectacular but with a real sense of class and an eco-friendly edge, nothing like your average blood-splattered Halloween party.
Designed by the fabulous wedding planners on our #guestlist, Our Story Begins, the shoot sought to showcase their engagement party package which offers couples a show-stopping way to celebrate their news, using vegan and ethical elements to create a stylish, ultra sustainable soirée.
With venues struggling to keep hold of wedding bookings as a result of the ever-tightening Covid restrictions, Our Story Begins wanted to show how venues can be used for a multitude of events relating to a couple’s special day.
“We also wanted to demonstrate how non-traditional venues can open their doors to events they may not have previously held. Our venue choice was Eiger Studios and Leeds; a recording studio/music practice space/small event space with an industrial chic aesthetic and plenty of rebellious character.” – Charlotte, Our Story Begins
An intimate event space, with its own bar and stage area, Eiger Studios provided the perfect blank canvas for this shoot to come to life and demonstrated its suitability for smaller wedding celebrations, engagement parties or hen and stag parties.
Sourcing attire for this boundary-breaking shoot allowed Our Story Begins to reach out to designers outside of the wedding world, creating two glam rock and rebel looks designed to turn heads.
“Our female model Charlotte’s two-piece was a bold and sassy hand-made creation from the super talented Quinlan Couture Bridal. Matching intricate black lace with show-stopping black tulle immediately brought the Halloween bride-to-be look to life!” – Charlotte
Add to that an exquisite pair of lace-up boots, fierce hair and makeup, handmade statement gothic jewellery and an amazing hairpiece, and you’ve got yourself a match made in hell…
“Our male model Danny loved taking a leap back in time to his darker days and smouldered with dark eye make-up and vogue-esque poses which set the tone of the whole event.” – Charlotte
His outfit was an eco-masterpiece by the gloriously creative Zaramia Ava, a local Leeds designer who specialises in eco-fabrics to produce planet and style conscious creations.
Both models wowed with their fierce, powerful performance in front of the cameras, fighting for the boldest and most daring look while still remaining playfully love-felt and intimate.
Skulls and Sparkle:
Foregrounding rich colours, bold designs and intimate styling, the palette of this shoot drew on typical Halloween elements with a contemporary, luxurious twist.
“Styling for this shoot required a step outside of the usual wedding or engagement party box, and I didn’t need to look any further than Skellon Events, who perfectly understood my vision and brought it to life.” – Charlotte
Rich red and golds were paired with bold, black tablecloths and intricate detailing, while personalised, hand-crafted keepsake clay skulls from Grace Holly Designs added a sense of intimacy.
To round off the rebellious aesthetic of love and power, Lorna Boyer Designs put together a suite of show-stopping, rule-breaking stationery which embraced the uniqueness of modern couple doing their weddings their way.
A fabulous shoot put together by a sterling team of creatives. Bravo to all! See it in action…[ngg src=”galleries” ids=”383″ display=”basic_thumbnail”]
