Transforming this untouched cow shed into a relaxed and intimate wedding space, North East and Northumberland Wedding Photographer, Joss Guest, captured the true romance, nature and elegance by bringing the outdoors in, at this beachside destination, Barn on The Bay.
Drawing inspiration from the countryside shades of a natural palette, muted tones, accented with wooden features, presented an ethereal and dreamy setting, perfect for photographing the unworldly, nuptial atmosphere at this farm location.
Location is Key:
With country at its core, this shoot portrayed a rustic wedding transformation, set to an extremely delicate and beautiful backdrop.
Showcasing the freedom, while staying true to the quintessential purpose of this cow-shed space, Joss Guest showed off the venue that truly displayed the beauty of Northumberland, for those couples who dream of an intimate, laidback wedding affair.
Boasting the very best of both worlds, from countryside surroundings, a stretch of sand dunes and beachfront views, The Barn on The Bay really does have it all, not forgetting the resident alpaca!
From a Different Angle:
Known for creating fun, bright and extremely beautiful imagery, Joss Guest took great pleasure in photographing this summer aesthetic, in all its Northumberland glory.
“I absolutely loved taking pictures in this space – the light is stunning and the fantastic photo opportunities are endless.
My favourite shot from such a homely and welcoming shoot, has to be the grand entrance of the bride walking through the barn doors, with the light billowing from behind her.” – Joss Guest
The Cool Creatives:
A collection of cool, creative stylists and designers came together for this whimsical shoot, helping to put a delicate and quaint visionary stamp on this one-of-a-kind Northumberland venue.
Moira J Florist utilised her creative talents to add subtle wild flowers to decorate the venue and wedding arch, to capture the breath-taking beauty of nature that encompassed the inside barn space.
Bringing the countryside pretty indoors, for a ‘Just Picked from Nature’ touch, an overflowing basket of flowers positioned on a fabulous vintage bike, featured a blossom bouquet of pink roses tied with plenty of flowing foliage, to add to the romantic and airy vibe.
Divided into different spaces, the venue’s rustic furniture and hay bale seating areas, draped in festoon lighting, by Emma Bunting, added a fun, festival touch, resulting in a more cocooned space for this spectacular photoshoot.
Featuring a firm favourite boutique, The White Room Brides opted for a lace theme for the dress and suit, to fit in with the countrified, rural feeling that overwhelmed the barn, completing the images with a soft flowing, elegant aspect.
Perfectly caught on camera, this entire shoot seemed flawless and beautiful, with every detail, from the flowers to the venue, captured to precision.
