Barolin Farm

INTRODUCTION

Set to open in March 2022, this converted coach and horses stable was bought in 1954 and converted into a family home by the Barolin family, who are now guiding it into the 21st century as an all-encompassing, exclusive-use wedding venue.

The gem in their crown? A personal, completely catered experience that offers couples the ultimate country luxe celebration.  Gone are the days of pre-determined, off-the-shelf wedding packages that feel more put-together than personal.

Welcome to your Bolthole: Hannah - a member of the Barolin family, is the onsite wedding co-ordinator and either she or another member of the family will be there to support you with planning and organisation – ensuring your celebration runs as smooth as possible.

Set up home in the main house, where eight individually-styled and ensuite bedrooms sleeping 17, a quintessential farmhouse kitchen, real open fires and charming drawing room are perfect for pre-wedding frivolities and preparations.

For bigger parties, book out the additional on-site cottages and chalet sleeping up to 26 in utter laidback luxury.

Did we mention it’s dog friendly? Bring those furry friends too…

A Marquee Signing:  When it comes to the wedding, Barolin boasts a beautiful array of spaces to suit.

New to the farm is the magnificent on-site marquee that sits in the old tennis court tucked away in the walled garden. This sumptuous light-filled space seats between 70 and 250 guests, and can be modulated down for small and intimate soirées.

Gather and graze, chat and natter, and dance the night away in this party palace – while guests spill out into the festoon-lit area surrounded by the up-lit red brick of the walled garden at night.

In the way of décor, your imagination knows no bounds. Work with Hannah and the team to bring your vision to life, be it a classic white wedding or a bold and beautiful, less-than-traditional bonanza.

In the walled garden in front of the weeping willow tree makes a beautiful spot for a blessing with a celebrant, or head into the house to sign and make the marriage official.

There are also lots of lovely churches nearby if you’d like to make it ‘ofish’ elsewhere but return to your bolthole for a memorable reception.

In short, if you’re looking for a venue with versatility, this is the place to be…

Uniquely Yours: At Barolin, every single wedding is as unique as the next – pick your own suppliers, decorate the venue to your tastes, select a ceremony space that suits, have it run over two days – this is your dream day, your way and Barolin are here to make it possible.

Like what you hear? Barolin Farm Weddings will be opening in March and there's availability for 2022 weddings.

REVIEWS

After having to change wedding plans with Covid restrictions, we decided to have a micro-wedding with a big family celebration but lacked a place to do it. We were looking for a house which would be large enough for our families, close enough to our church in Bradford, and scenic enough for photos (very important!). As soon as we dropped on Barolin we knew it was the one. The location was wonderful, set in beautiful countryside showing Yorkshire off in all its glory. The house had a great character; very grand but we felt immediately at home with the thoughtful touches such as board games and books. We enjoyed chilling in the kitchen in the days up to the wedding and using the dining room and drawing room for our more formal wedding meal. We thought finding accommodation for large families was never going to be easy; but with the many bedrooms Barolin has, it was a dream. The bedrooms are grouped so each unit felt private and cosy – perfect for two families staying in one place. We are so thrilled we stumbled upon Barolin, it is a stunning place and was absolutely perfect for our wedding!

When Phil proposed to me I didn’t have a clue about anything to do with weddings; all I knew was that I wanted to get married on Barolin farm which we’d stumbled upon on a walk a few months before. I’d fallen in love with the beautiful, rustic buildings and the gorgeous countryside, rolling hills, trees and greenery everywhere you can see. Being from Yorkshire it felt like just the right location, and I got in touch with Hannah straight away. I explained my total ignorance of all things wedding and she couldn’t have been more helpful in the process, arranging meetings with local caterers, car companies, make-up artists and so much more. She was super friendly and a lot of fun to organise and hang out with, and so something which I thought would be stressful turned out to be a bit of a breeze. It’s a massive cliche but our wedding day was the best of my life. The whole bridal party was able to stay in the incredible and historical farmhouse itself and walk straight out into the beautiful walled garden for our reception where we ate, drank, laughed and danced the night away. The best thing was being able to relax and enjoy that unique setting knowing everything was in hand and Hannah made sure it really was our day. Thank you so much!
