Jo Leversuch Director of Make-up by Jo Ltd has shared a great make up tip with us, great hints like this are made for sharing, so here it is.
As a professional make-up artist, there is one essential item I would always have in my kit: A foundation skin primer.
Foundation skin primers have become more popular over the last year or so, yet not everyone uses one. I wanted to share this small article to give you my hints and tips on using a foundation skin primer.
Foundation skin primers can help in multiple ways, including reducing the look of large pores; preventing excess shine; brightening skin tone to help smooth out fine lines and creating a barrier protection between your skin and your foundation. The overall benefit of using a good primer is to help your foundation go on smoother and last longer.
Foundation Skin Primers are applied after your chosen moisturiser and before you apply your foundation and concealer. Apply a small amount (about a pea size) over your face and wait for couple of minutes before applying your foundation.
My favourite skin primer is by celebrity make-up Artist Ariane Poole. Retexturizing Face Primer is a lightweight primer with a velvet texture touch serum. This primer contains opalescent light reflectors which leaves the skin with a wonderful translucent effect. Rich with Vitamins A and E to seal in moisture plus with a SPF20.
Suitable for all skin types, it is available from Ariane’s website for £24.00
