Yorkshire Shoot: Styling, Stars And Shimmering Things

With 1970s vibes well and truly sticking around this season – this styling showcase captured by Jane Beadnell Photography, exhumes boho chic, perfectly encapsulating the ethereal concepts mirrored by every aspect of the shoot.

From the iridescent shimmers of the bride’s eye, to the juxtaposing vampy lips magnificently captured by Amy George Makeup, the bride’s overall look is ideal for the non-conformist. The dream-like veil of stars and the laid back loose fishtail braid created by Belle and Bride would suit any modern day hippy.

Stripped back to basics; the shoot depicts this season’s obsession with the extra-ordinary, from mermaids to unicorns to the rustic antique feel of the table settings wonderfully styled by Ambience Venue Styling York.

While taking it back to traditionalist roots, the shoot still maintains a glamorous edge. The location of The North Star Club, in York, acted as a perfect backdrop, inspired by the likes of Coachella and Tomorrow-land. The moody setting was a match made in heaven with the hipster groom, marrying with the delicate finishes of the beautiful bridal gown provided by The Bridal Emporium. The sequin finish on the dress captured angles of the light, adding to the 70s-esque feel of the shoot, combined with the dainty vintage accessories supplied by Bespoke Vintage Castle.

The custom-made cakes by Zoe’s Fancy Cakes, were laced with sugar flowers and adorned with rainbow macaroons; the ‘it’ confectionary of the modern day. The unique cakes nestled in beautifully with the flower arrangements, provided by artisan florist Leafy Couture, which showcased a rich colour palette of decadent hydrangeas; offering a feeling of regality to the quietly-cool vibe.

Definitely for the lover of the whimsical; the shoot highlights how to blend fantasy with glamour. From the pretty pink origami flowers on the table to the Log cabins of the location, the shoot provides a perfect alternative for the nature loving couple. The mystical finish is ideal for the seeker of the calm, whilst still maintaining an edgy, unique finish – dreamy for any boho bride seeking their fairytale ending.
